[wanted] split paddles

Post by adrianc »

Know that a 2nd hand split paddles are about as rare as hen's teeth - but by any chance does anyone have a set that's gathering dust which they want rid of / are willing to sell?

I have a set that splits in 2 that I found, but does not fit in my boat, you can try and squeeze em in yours, but I just don't think they are designed for kayaks somehow.

Cheers Andy - doubt they will fit in mine either so. Sounds like they were those ones that they sell to people with inflatables or sit-on-tops ...

Adrian,
I-canoe have a set that splits in 4 for €36. I got a set and they are grand for the price and should fit easily in most boats

Just remember Adrian, you get what you pay for.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be paddling down in big water using a €36 set of paddles

Thanks for that Paul & Johnny, think I might heed Johnny's advice and spend that bit more to have a bit of confidence in the paddle..

They have a set for €135 but I don't think they are much better than the €36 set. After that you are looking at €310 for Werner's. Might be worth calling Rough Stuff to see if they would make up a set.

Cheers for that Pajo, the 2nd link there was to your shopping cart, unfortunately I couldn't use your credit card though!

Was this the 2nd one?

Yep that's them, I was hoping you'd buy them and they'd be shipped to me ;)

Adrian - "Pajo did you get my paddles??"

Me - "what paddles?"

Damn
